Installer Composer localement

La documentation utiliser pour cette installation vient de https://getcomposer.org/doc/00-intro.md

Ce qu'il faut retenir :

1. Se placer dans le répertoire où l'on souhaite installer localement Composer
2. Suivre les instructions de téléchargement de Composer, https://getcomposer.org/download/

Si besoin, vous pouvez modifier le

--install-dir

et le

--filename

1. Lancer Composer avec la commande

   php composer.phar
   

Si tout va bien, on obtient quelque chose comme ce qui suit :

Available commands:
  about                Shows the short information about Composer.
  archive              Creates an archive of this composer package.
  browse               Opens the package's repository URL or homepage in your browser.
  check-platform-reqs  Check that platform requirements are satisfied.
  clear-cache          Clears composer's internal package cache.
  clearcache           Clears composer's internal package cache.
  [...]
  why                  Shows which packages cause the given package to be installed.
  why-not              Shows which packages prevent the given package from being installed.

Problèmes rencontrés

Important :

Après une première installation locale réussie, la deuxième installation bloque sur la troisième ligne de commande

php composer-setup.php

Unable to write keys.dev.pub to: /home/ajlsm/.composer

.

Solution : passer en root : sudo su et relancer la commande.

Résultat :

Composer (version 1.8.6) successfully installed to: /home/ajlsm/recette/ad53/drupal-digiwin/src-lamayenne/composer.phar
Use it: php composer.phar

Important :

L'utilisation de root pour l'installation bloque ensuite l'écriture de certains paquets. .

Par exemple, au lancement de Composer, on peut avoir ce type de message

php composer.phar
Cannot create cache directory /home/ajlsm/.composer/cache/repo/https---packages.drupal.org-8/, or directory is not writable. Proceeding without cache...

Le problême vient des permisssions du dossier /home/ajlsm/.composer/

Solutions : Remettre les bons groupe et utilisateurs (ajlsm:ajlsm) ou bien supprimer le répértoire (celui-ci sera recréé) :

chown -R ajlsm:ajlsm  /home/ajlsm/.composer
